David M. Collins, Jr. has practiced law in South Carolina for over 25 years. His practice has focused almost entirely on litigation — representing real people in real disputes, in courtrooms across South Carolina.
The bulk of his career has been devoted to family law, where he has handled virtually every type of case South Carolina’s family courts: contested and uncontested divorces, custody and visitation disputes, support modifications, adoptions, and protective orders. He is known by referral sources and former clients as an attorney who knows the law, knows the courts, and gets results.
In recent years, David Collins has also built a significant criminal defense practice, focusing on felony defense in General Sessions Court across the Upstate of South Carolina, including Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson Counties. He also represents personal injury clients, particularly in serious auto accidents, truck accidents, and nursing home abuse cases.
